Back To The Future is an example of a “storytelling” scrimmage. No materials are needed as part of the challenge. The randomizer provides options, or you can insert your own. The team can present their solution as a skit, a written response or simply a discussion.

Straight N Narrow is an example of a “build” scrimmage. The facilitator of the scrimmage builds a ramp (the “base”) that the teams will utilize to test their solution to the challenge. Teams will use the scrimmage materials to build their solution. Their choice of materials is constrained by a “budget” or an alternate limitation set by the facilitator.
