designtech intro - onshape
A class for beginners in CAD to learn how to use OnShape software to design, 3d print and laser cut. This is an intro class that sets the stage for all the other higher level Design Tech courses we offer. OnShape is professional CAD software - more complex to learn, but much more capable than Tinkercad. The class includes direct instruction on the basics of tools in software and equipment while developing projects with open-ended creative input. By the end of this class, students should have confidence in the process of creating simple OnShape designs and outputting them to 3d print and laser cutting. Students that took Design Tech Intro - Tinkercad may take this course as well.
Participants in this class should have basic computer navigation skills before joining.
You will be required to create a “hobbyist” account with OnShape in order to participate in this class.
